Arrival at the camp school is at noon, and the departure is at 12.30.

Usually, the pupils bring NOK. 200m-. Some bring more to buy a Brennabu sweater or similar. This is up to the school/class.

Yes, there are duvets and pillows in all our beds. 

Then you can borrow skis, shoes and poles for free from us. Let your teacher know and we will receive a list of those who need to borrow equipment from us.

Yes it is. We prepare for this, but the guest teacher shall be responsible during the night. We have class kits with hammocks, sleeping mats and a tarp, and we can help prepare a hammock camp. In addition to this we also have a wooden lavvu with room for spending the night. The pupils must bring their own sleeping bag.

No, the week here at Brennabu will be a screen-free week. Exceptions may be done with the school.

The school sends a diet overview appr. one week before the camp school stay. We have gluten-free and lactose-free options, etc., and we have halal meat for those who want it. Vasetvannet is a great fishing lake close to Brennabu.

  • Fishing in Lake Vasetvannet is permitted from 1 January to 15 October.

  • Free for everyone under the age of 16.

  • Fishing is only permitted with a fishing rod from the shore.

  • A visiting teacher must accompany the students down to the lake.

  • You must bring your own fishing rod, as we do not have fishing rods available to borrow.

  • You may catch as many fish as you like, but due to the fish management work being carried out, we ask that tagged fish are released back into the lake.

It is possible to swim in Lake Vasetvannet, which is located close to Brennabu.

Swimming must always take place under the supervision of a visiting teacher. The visiting teacher is responsible for the students throughout their time by the water and must remain present while the students are swimming.

Students must follow the visiting teacher’s instructions and stay within the area that the teacher considers safe.
